Katherine Norman is a painter, designer, educator and art connector. Her current work is an expression of her observations and meditations on nature. Taking inspiration from her travels all over the world, her work illustrates her interest in capturing natural phenomena and exploring process-based techniques. With a diverse background as an arts professional, Norman's work evokes an intuitive connection to her materials and her subjects that demonstrate her long time consideration of various aesthetic practices. 

Katherine Norman has worked and studied 17 areas of art in 6 US cities and 10 different countries. She holds a Master’s degree in Art Education from Florida International University and received her BA in Art History from Franklin University, Switzerland. Additionally, she has studied at various competitive art programs throughout the world, including New World School of the Arts, Miami, FL; University of Miami; New York University, Instituto De San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and the Miami Ad School.

Her work has been exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally. She has been selected for various juried exhibitions at Bakehouse Art Complex, Mindstructures Art Gallery, Biltmore Hotel, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens, Act for Arts in Captiva, FL. Her designs have also been selected to represent several corporate institutions including the Miami Chamber of Commerce, designed logo/packaging for a Plastic Surgeon's skin care company, artwork used in Chico's designer clothing for women advertisement and created "site specific" art pieces for  the Patio Zone luxury outdoor furniture company. 

As a professional art teacher, Ms Norman has taught more than 10,000 hours on the creative process to thousands of international art students. Katherine Norman is constantly creating her own artwork and nurturing the creative spirit in others. whether professional artists or art students.
